Gong Xi Fa Cai! It is the beginning of a new year. All of us at Menlo Security hope this new year brings you much joy, good health and prosperity.
As a member of of our APAC team I can say firsthand that this last year has been challenging for all of us, but our strength is evident in our resilience. While the world shut down and move from the working at the office to working remotely, it became clearer than ever that the internet is where work happens. And this is where Menlo Security is making a huge difference—we continue to work diligently to secure the worldwide remote workforce by providing the safety that businesses need and demand. Our mission is to make internet use safe, seamless and effective.
I would like to take a moment to share a little bit about the growing momentum Menlo Security continues to experience with some highlights from 2020:
Investing in the Future of Cloud Security
We raised $100 million in our latest round of funding in November, valuing the company at $800 million. This new capital is being used for a number of things, including increasing our investment in engineering to accelerate product delivery and expansion.
We launched several new offerings including the world’s first Data Loss Prevention powered by an isolation core as part of the Menlo Security Global Cloud Proxy Platform.
Received Top Analyst Validation and Industry Accolades
We were named a Visionary in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways for the third consecutive year. We were also named a Growth and Innovation Leader in the Frost & Sullivan APAC Web Security and were honored with a Tech Laureates cybersecurity award.
Most importantly, we couldn’t have done this with you—our valued customers. In 2020 we added a number of new customers that include seven of the ten largest banks, four of the five largest credit-card issuers and some of the largest energy and other critical infrastructure companies in the world. We also were awarded along with our partner, a $198.9M, 5-year production Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) by the U.S Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for their Cloud-Based Internet Isolation program.
We recently held our annual Sales Kick Off meeting, virtually of course, and I am so excited for 2021. We are focused on empowering your organizations with the essential security platform needed to eliminate threats and protect productivity. I, along with the rest of team, can’t wait to share with you our new offerings and help you achieve your goals for protecting your workforce and ensuring their productivity safely and securely.
The Year of the Ox is said to be lucky and also perfect to focus on relationships. Thank you to each and every one of you. We truly value your trust in us and look forward to further strengthening our relationships with all of you. So again, I, along with everyone at Menlo Security, wish you Gong Xi Fa Cai!
