The most rewarding experience of my professional life has been having a front-row seat to Menlo's journey from an idea to $100M in ARR. I gained insights into aspects of the business that were beyond the scope of product and engineering. As we look ahead to the journey from $100M to $500M and beyond, two things are clear:

To that end, today, Menlo Security is pleased to announce the acquisition of Votiro - market leader in CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruct) and DDR (Data Detection and Response). Both companies share numerous strategic joint customers, and have repeatedly demonstrated the value of a combined solution. Workspace Security will define Menlo's vision in the coming years. The acquisition of Votiro will establish the Data Security pillar of this vision, securing data in channels beyond the browser, including SaaS-to-SaaS and Collaboration Tools, such as Teams and Slack.
In the modern, dynamic enterprise, data resides in the cloud, and users must be productive from anywhere. CIO/CISOs are grappling with two primary file-related challenges: threats and data loss. Traditional solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Antivirus, and Sandbox have had limited success in safeguarding the enterprise. At our recent advisory board meeting, CIOs/CISOs discussed how they find themselves out of compliance immediately following a year-long DLP deployment. DLP is not even in the path of data movement, such as SaaS-to-SaaS and AI-Agents.

Customers utilizing Menlo’s Secure Cloud Browser can complement the browser protection with file protection that operates with the same philosophy - “Secure by Architecture”. Original files downloaded from the Internet will be safe with CDR. Likewise, customers utilizing Menlo for Email Link Isolation will be able to extend protection to attachments, allowing the user to receive a safe attachment without the challenges of antivirus and sandbox detection and latency.
The Enterprise Workspace has progressed significantly from the era of applications on a laptop. While the browser is the primary application of the modern enterprise workspace, CIOs must reconsider their Workspace Security comprehensively to determine how to enable their users to utilize AI securely, maintain the speed of business, and safeguard enterprise data.
