We are thrilled to announce we have secured $75 million in Series D funding led by JP Morgan Asset Management and other existing investors, including General Catalyst, Sutter Hill Ventures, Osage University Partners, American Express Ventures, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase and Engineering Capital. This round of funding comes almost two years after our Series C round of $40 million, bringing our total funding to approximately $160 million.

We will be using the capital infusion to accelerate our global go-to-market initiatives to meet the growing industry demand for Internet Isolation technology. This demand isn’t surprising! While most security technology companies loathe to use the term “100%” - we can say without any hesitation that we eradicate the threat of malware, ransomware and phishing threats by helping our clients achieve a Zero Trust Internet.

What is Zero Trust Internet?

Zero Trust Internet is a default deny approach that is fundamentally different from the way legacy cybersecurity products works today. For instance, today’s products categorize Internet content and websites as being malicious or safe, and this approach is known to fail.  However, Zero Trust Internet is achieved through Internet Isolation, a radically new approach to security that allows companies to separate their networks from the public web while providing their employees seamless access to the Internet.

Zero Trust Internet takes the guesswork out of security by assuming all Internet content and websites are malicious and safely isolating them so malicious attacks can never reach their target endpoints. Internet Isolation enables Zero Trust Internet, and it is emerging as a key component of modern security architectures, as evidenced by Menlo Security’s  Internet Isolation being used to protect government agencies, seven of the 10 largest global banks, four of the five largest credit-card issuers and some of the largest energy and transportation companies in the world.

We have seen tremendous growth since in our brief history, driven by our ability to deliver a solution to a problem where other security products are failing.  For one global 2000 customer, we safely isolated more than 8,500 malicious websites that had bypassed all of their existing legacy defenses, including secure web gateways, next-generation firewalls and sandboxes, over a six month.  This customer was protected via Menlo Security’s Internet Isolation, demonstrating the real-world value of Zero Trust Internet.
