A veteran of Internet security, Amir co-founded Menlo Security to pioneer a new approach. He was vice president of cloud security at Juniper Networks, where he helped define company strategy for securing the virtualized data center, and public and private clouds. He joined Juniper via its acquisition of Altor Networks, where he was founder and CEO. Before that, he was an executive at pioneer Internet security Check Point Software. Amir holds an MBA from UCLA, an MSEE from Stanford University, and a BSEE from UC Berkeley.
Chief Product Officer
Poormina co-founded Menlo Security, bringing years of product management experience to the table. Before Menlo, she was a product management executive at Juniper Networks, responsible for cloud security, security management, and security analytics. She joined Juniper via its acquisition of Altor Networks, where she was vice president of product management and business development. Prior to that, she was head of business development at Check Point in product management and engineering roles. Poormina holds an MSCS from Arizona State University.
Chief Financial Officer
David taps his wealth of experience to oversee everything related to finance, accounting, and legal at Menlo. During his tenure here, he’s raised over $200 million across three rounds of financing. Before joining the team, he was head of finance for Cisco Cloud Security via it’s $635 million acquisition of OpenDNS, where he served as senior director of finance. Prior to his time there, he was a senior finance manager at Box focusing on corporate finance, capital markets, investor relations, and treasury. David has a BSBA from Washington University and an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics.
Chief Revenue Officer
Charged with overseeing the company’s global sales efforts and expansion, Scott brings to Menlo a proven track record in building and leading highly achieving teams for direct and channel models. Previously, Scott was the chief revenue officer for ProtectWise, a leading provider of cloud-delivered network detection and response. Before that, as senior vice president of sales for CrowdStrike, Scott grew the sales team from 3 to over 225 people, with a growth of over 100% year over year. He’s also built and led teams at market leaders McAfee and EMC/Documentation. Scott holds a BA from Syracuse University and Master in Management from Thunderbird: Global School of International Management.
Chief Marketing Officer
Steven has over 20 years of experience leading diverse marketing organizations in highly competitive technology markets in the US, EMEA, and Asia. As Menlo’s CMO, Steven builds and scales the marketing function to elevate our market presence, and orchestrates all go-to-market activations to drive revenue and expand our category positioning. His experience building brand awareness and using marketing technology and data analytics helps him drive sustainable revenue results, build teams, and lead organizations as they scale. He came to Menlo from Unravel Data and has held numerous leadership roles, including CMO at AppDynamics and VP of enterprise marketing at Juniper Networks.
VP of Customer Success
Jeff brings over 15 years of customer success and renewals experience to Menlo, where he’s responsible for the overall satisfaction of our customers and their success with our service. Prior to joining us, he worked in Cisco’s customer experience leadership team, where he built and led the company’s first global rewards organization—responsible for over 100,000 customers and $4B in revenue.
VP of People and Places
Rosemary is responsible for the complete employee experience, from recruiting to people operations to workplace services. You could say she’s the glue that holds the Menlo team together. Before joining Menlo, she held numerous HR leadership roles at both late-stage startups and large multinational organizations, including Symantec, Twitter, Otsuka, and Chevron. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Labor Studies from Hofstra University and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
A co-founder of Menlo Security, Gautam hails from Safely, Inc., a Berkeley spinoff he started with Professor Dawn Song. As their chief architect, he helped develop and commercialize the isolation security technology that is at the heart of Menlo Security’s solution. Prior to Safely, Gautam earned his PhD from UC Berkeley in deterministic replay systems. He’s published several papers revolving around the intersection of cloud computing, operating systems, and program analysis.
VP of Worldwide Sales Engineering
Lennart is a cyber security veteran with extensive security technology and sales engineering experience. He also has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing global sales engineering teams. Lennart joined Menlo from FireEye, where he built the worldwide SE organization that lead to their IPO. Before that, he led the sales engineering transition from IronPort into the Cisco Security portfolio. Lennart emigrated to the US from the Netherlands and is a UC Berkeley graduate.
VP of Engineering
As VP of Engineering at Menlo, Tim guides the engineering team to enable the world to connect, communicate, and collaborate securely without compromise. Tim is a 30-year veteran of Silicon Valley, working in the enterprise networking, wireless, unified communications, and security spaces. Prior to Menlo, he was VP of Engineering at Mitel/ShoreTel where he provided leadership to a global R&D team focused on delivering world-class, cloud-first communication and collaboration applications. Tim has also founded multiple Silicon Valley startups that resulted in acquisition by companies such as Cisco and ShoreTel. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Chico State University.

Results and goal-oriented leader with 25 years of business, engineering management and security experience. Establishing technical and leadership presence, while driving all facets of the product life cycle. Providing vision, creating strategy and developing customer centric solutions, while consistently delivering quality results at internet scale in demanding and dynamic environments. Proven ability to recruit, develop and retain high performing leaders and teams.
VP Product Management
Nick joins Menlo with deep product management experience and by way of GradientOne, where he was CEO for over 5 years. Before that, he was VP of Marketing & Products at Silver Tail Systems, where he led all aspects of marketing and product management. Prior, he was at Cisco Systems as group product manger and then director—leading a team of 35 and $500 million annual run rate of security products. He holds an MBA in Finance from Harvard Business School and a BS in Control Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
Managing Director, General Catalyst Partners
Dr. Steve Herrod is managing director at General Catalyst Partners where he invests in enterprise infrastructure startups. Prior to General Catalyst, Steve was CTO and Sr. VP of research and development at VMware. During his tenure, Steve helped build a world-class engineering organization that delivered numerous industry changing products. Steve holds a PhD in computer science from Stanford University, and a BA in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Joe Sexton is the former President of Worldwide Field Operations at AppDynamics. Prior to AppDynamics, he spent significant time in senior leadership roles at McAfee, Mercury Interactive, and CA Technologies. Joe is currently on the Board of Directors for CrowdStrike, Menlo Security, D2IQ, and BrainBox Intelligent Marketing. He is an Executive Advisor to the CEO of DecisionLink and was recently on the Executive Advisory Board of PagerDuty. Joe earned his BA in Marketing from the University of Kentucky. He is very passionate about mentorship, helping women succeed in the workplace, and teaching salespeople how to become Value Professionals.
Managing Director at Vista Equity Partners
Ryan Atlas joined Vista Equity Partners in 2012 and is currently a member of the private equity foundation team. He sits on the boards of Allocate, Granicus, LogicMonitor, Tomia, and Wrike. He was actively involved in the firm’s investments in Autotask, Bullhorn, Main Street Hub, Naviga, Relias Learning, and Return Path. Before joining Vista, Ryan worked at JMI Equity (over $4 billion under management), where he focused on growth and buyout investments of software and technology-enabled businesses. Before that, Ryan advised clients on both strategy and operations in a variety of industries at McKinsey & Company. He holds a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University.
