MENLO PARK, Calif. —May 9, 2017— Menlo Security, a pioneer of cloud-based security isolation technology, was recognized for its global efforts to inform IT security professionals about new Web and email threat prevention strategies. The Silicon Valley based start-up earned a Marketing Department of the Year Stevie® Award in The 15th Annual American Business Awards.
“Security buyers looking for new approaches to prevent attacks are challenged to fight through the noise of a very crowded market to determine where to spend their energy,” said Peter Lunk, Vice President of Marketing at Menlo Security. “Our marketing team deserves this award in light of how well their content, events, digital campaigns and design work have helped our global community better understand phishing and ransomware threats -- and how to prevent them.”
In one quarter alone, IT security professionals engaged with Menlo Security across three major digital marketing campaigns, including the State of the Web Report campaign (winner, Best Online Digital Campaign entry), and over 25 events worldwide, a new web site, and nearly a dozen custom-developed content pieces.
A global blog helps the community learn about timely topics such as phishing scams or new cyber security legislation, and provides pointers to educational resources including analyst and Menlo Security primary research reports. This readily available data across multiple channels helps IT security leaders understand isolation techniques, and how Menlo Security technology plays a key role in their overall threat prevention strategy.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20.
Stevie Awards competitions receive more than 10,000 entries each year from organizations in more than 60 nations.
