Webroot's Threat Intelligence Now On The Isolation Platform

Today we’re pleased to announce our partnership with Webroot®, a leading provider of real-time, actionable threat intelligence. We’ve integrated their BrightCloud® Web Classification Service, which provides the URL classification information used in our Web Isolation Service. The granular data provided by Webroot enables our customers to set policies based on content categories.

For example, sites containing non-productive or inappropriate content can be blocked entirely by the Menlo Security Isolation Platform, while other categories of sites can be isolated. Additionally, the intelligence from Webroot, including content categories is captured and included in all activity logs, enabling detailed reporting, which is important for compliance and forensic purposes. This enhances the unique policy capabilities of the Menlo Security Platform, which include the ability to isolate traffic from any site if the underlying software contains known vulnerabilities – a condition exhibited by over twenty percent of the top 1 million websites, including those from “legitimate” content categories.
