Menlo Security and VeloCloud, now part of VMware offer free trials of a joint solution that includes cloud security, phishing protection, and SD-WAN to protect employees working from home:
Even though stay at home orders are starting to be relaxed in some states, working from home is likely to stick around as the new normal moves forward. To ease these challenges, Menlo Security and VMware are teaming up to ensure fast, secure access to corporate and Internet resources remote workers need to keep business up and running smoothly.
Literally overnight, hundreds of millions of knowledge workers around the world started working from home, and many IT teams found their VPN infrastructure was insufficient to handle the increase in users and bandwidth. It didn’t take long before the remote employees realized that they were not getting the same performance and reliability they enjoyed at the office. Performance of mission-critical business applications lagged, files took longer to open and save and teleconferencing became jittery and disjointed. At the same time, security issues were exacerbated as workers surfing the Internet outside the corporate firewall have become exposed to all sorts of malicious cyber activity such as malware, phishing and ransomware attacks.
Poor application performance may be bearable in an emergency, but as social distancing is likely to keep offices closed for the foreseeable future, Menlo Security and VMware wanted to help companies find a long-term solution. That’s why we’ve teamed up to provide this new remote workforce the same performance, reliability and security they have in the office while working from home.
The two companies are introducing a free trial of our joint solution that includes Menlo Security’s Global Cloud Proxy and Secure Office 365 anti-phishing product and the VMware SD-WAN Work @Home free trial. The joint solution includes everything you need to provide employees working from home the same safe, secure access to the Internet and corporate resources as if they were working in the office.
The joint solution of the Menlo Security Global Cloud Proxy, Secure Office 365, and VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud protects employees working from home from malware and phishing attacks with the same level of security as working from the office. The company’s security policies are automatically applied to the user’s traffic, and traffic destined for the company’s data center is managed, monitored and secured just like if the user were logging on from the office. Internet traffic is secured in the Menlo Security Cloud Platform–creating a local Internet breakout for each user.
Delivered from a global elastic cloud, the Menlo Security service allows users to connect securely to the Internet from anywhere. Enterprises can be assured that the new remote workforce is protected from web-based cyberthreats; granular access and security policies are enforced; web traffic is controlled, monitored, and protected; data leaks and credential theft are prevented; cloud apps are secure; and compliance is ensured.
The cloud-delivered VMware SD-WAN simplifies how traffic is steered and provides bandwidth optimization using Dynamic Multipath Optimization™ (DMPO) technology that steers traffic on a per packet basis to the optimal path as well as remediates transmission degradations. Together, Menlo Security and VMware provide fast, secure access for remote workers at scale.
